Nature runs through the veins of the world, forests crawl across the land, and life is vibrant. Once, the Animal Kingdoms were united in their species. The Mouse Kingdom, the Badger Kingdom or the Rat Kingdom, used to hold their own spaces, spread out among the land. Artisans tinkered and civilisations progressed through innovations and technologies never imagined by the first animals who formed their Kingdoms.
However, all that ended hundreds, or maybe, even thousands of years past. It is now unclear, what exactly occured, but the remnants of that progress can now be found in ruins overgrown with vines and moss, looking now like strange trees than the architectural marvels they once likely were.
Now, nature has taken over, the kingdoms have fallen, and knowledge has been scattered and lost. The Animals now live all together, all species in settlements, havens and sanctuaries, in a constant struggle with nature, encroaching and growing, and often even moving.
But, at least they have each other, and in that, they are content, and happy. Often that is the point.
Overgrown is described [by Sheepdog] as a mix of Redwall and The Last of Us, cute animals deal with the apocalypse where nature has overtaken the world.
It’s rumoured this is the first “Nice wholesome show” produced on the Channel.
